Kérastase is a luxury haircare brand developed by Recherche avancée L’Oréal (L'Oréal advanced research) under the professional products division of the L'Oréal Group.

Established in 1964 in France, the brand first expanded in Europe, and then worldwide, with its launch in Japan in 1990 and in North America in 1999. Kérastase is distributed to high-end hair salons only and is among the market leaders in the professional and luxury haircare segments in several countries.

Wella is Germany's largest and the world's second largest producer of hairdressing products for home and professional use. Its beginnings date back to 1880 when, at the age of 26, Franz Ströher, the grand and great grandfather of today's generations of owners, founded a company, Franz Ströher-Rothenkirchen, for the production and distribution of artificial hair, then very much in vogue.
